Specification

•Ensures that customers are attended to promptly and professionally, are assisted in a helpful and friendly manner, and that they have access to any advice or information they may require at all times.

•Upsell and cross-sell to customers and inform them about promotions and seasonal stock in order to maximise sales.

•Partake in promotions that require horticultural expertise.

•Identify problems such as diseases, weeds and insect pests in the outdoor area as well upon customer request.

•Ensure that all plants are correctly priced, labelled with botanical names and descriptions.

•Ensure that products on display are neatly and attractively arranged and not shop-soiled.

•Ensure that all plants for sale are regularly fed, watered, pruned and staked when necessary and are maintained in the highest quality.

Requirements

•Horticulture or related diploma or degree or minimum two years relevant retail nursery sales experience

•Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
