Financial management/reporting

Develop and maintain financial accounting processes and procedures

Implement and maintain sound internal controls

Identify financial accounting risks and develop and implement mitigating strategies

Attend to audit queries

Prepare statutory returns (i.e. VAT)

Verify the General Ledger, accruals and control accounts

Review local reconciliations before payments can be made

Review Creditors on a monthly basis

Prepare financial month-end reports

Budgeting

Establish and maintain a budgeting system and assist with setting up the planning parameters

Manage and control the annual planning and budgeting process

Prepare the budget

Financial administration

Control commitments against budget

Leadership

Manage the designated area within time and budget

Identify and timeously address problems and opportunities

Provide direction in respect of decision making

Facilitate and resolve conflicting issues or requirements

Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and internationally accepted environmental, health, safety and quality standards

Requirements

Bilingual in Afrikaans / English is a must

Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification, i.e. (BCom Accounting and/or Management Accounting)

Honours Degree / Articles strongly recommended

 5 years’ relevant financial experience

Computer literate in Syspro and Excel

Excellent administration skills
