JOB OVERVIEW:

Managing the outsourcing of production to CMT's. Ensuring that garments produced meet customer quality requirements and meet required OTIF

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To help all factories with technical information for the production of garments

Have pre-production meetings with CMT’s prior to starting production

Pre-production samples to be checked and approved against QC Seal, before starting production

Ensure the correct machinery is used for specific garment styling as well as suitability of fabric types

Ensure the sewing line is set up correctly

Assist with problem solving activities to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications

Attending to problems with patterns, markers, trims, fabrics and cut sheets, ensuring that it is brought to the Production Manager’s attention for resolution

First Off - Line to be fitted and approved before commencement of Bulk Production

Discuss (telephonically) and report (electronically) production updates as well as inspection results daily to the Production Manager

Ensure that critical path timelines and performance outcomes are met

Perform in-line inspections and end-of-line inspections on the sewing floor

Do final inspection level 2.5 AQL once Bulk Production is complete

Responsible for analysing quality and reject reports, and prepare an improvement plan with the CMT

Reconciliation of each style produced against final cut figures

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Must have a Matric Certificate/Grade 12 

Certificate in Clothing & Textiles beneficial

Garment construction and Pattern knowledge essential

Knowledge of sewing machines essential

A team player who is not afraid to get their hands dirty

Great eye for detail, and a problem-solving thinker

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Must have a valid Driver’s License
