Job Description

This leadership position is an essential part of the fundraising team, with a key focus on philanthropy and customer engagement. Key components include:

Support the organisation's operations through developing and delivering on the philanthropy engagement strategy

Set and execute long-term plans to drive fundraising through major gifts and regular giving, in addition to identifying and engaging with potential bequestors

Friendraising is as important as fundraising; build trust and relationships with external stakeholders to support long term growth and customer engagement

Foster strong internal relationships. This role will manage, coach and mentor 2 direct reports, as well as working closely with Corporate Partnerships, the Executive team, C-Suite and Board.

The Successful Applicant

This is not your average philanthropy position. Our client is seeking a candidate who's worked in this field, but can identify ways to break the status-quo and innovate. The ideal candidate will:

Have worked within the Western Australian fundraising/philanthropy space, with an understanding around key foundations, grants and stakeholders

Experience in developing and implementing a successful multi-year business development strategy (exposure to managing and delivering a major capital campaign for $20m+ will be highly regarded)

Identify, build and nurture strong relationship with HNW individuals, whilst also creating unique engagement strategies for this community

Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience and tenure in leading small teams
